Medical Supplies for Rural Schools in Zimbabwe

My name is Kayla Pena, I am a nursing student at Texas Tech University. I have had the privilege to travel to Victoria, Falls Zimbabwe and work with the children at various schools in the summer of 2022 and recently in the summer of 2024. In 2024, I started a project that raised money to provide a first aid cabinet with first aid supplies at four different schools in the rural areas of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. These supplies help aid the children with any injuries or illnesses they may experience at school so they can continue to learn. The schools in these rural areas don’t have access or the money to obtain first aid supplies, resulting in it affecting the children’s learning. The goal of my project is to raise enough money to resupply the schools with all the first aid supplies that I provided before that they have run out of. My goal is to raise $800 which will supply enough for the children at four different schools. Anything extra will still go towards future resupplying.
